Adult Day Services are community programs for people at risk of losing their independence. They offer a friendly group setting for people who need care and support, and a break (respite) for their caregivers. ▸ What you may get (varies by site): • A healthy noon meal and snacks • Physical activity • Professional health care services • Recreation like bowling, arts and crafts, gardening, baking and table games • Time to socialize • Transportation to and from the centre (where available) Programs run 1 to 6 days a week, depending on the community.
