The Bay Ave Community Shelter is a co-ed emergency shelter operated by Kelowna Gospel Mission, offering space for meals, washrooms, and case management services. The shelter has 65 pods and serves individuals experiencing homelessness in Kelowna. Services include meals, washrooms, personal care items, and case management. On-site caseworkers connect residents with services and support them in overcoming barriers to housing. Intake hours are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM — go in person. No bed holds without prior arrangement from a social worker. The shelter is open 24/7 for current residents only. Accessibility note: There are stairs to the washroom — residents must be able to walk independently. Pet policy: Only 2 dog spots and 3 cat spots are available for the entire shelter.
