Reconnect counsellors work with youth ages 13-18 and their families. The goal is to stop youth homelessness before it starts, and to help families in crisis or at risk of a breakdown. ▸ What you get • Caregiver-teen and parent-teen mediation • One-on-one support and brief counselling • Crisis help and safety planning • Shelter diversion, harm reduction and street outreach • Help getting housing, income support and health care • Referrals to other community supports Support can be one-to-one, in a group, or by referral, on site or in the community. ▸ Where and when • Downtown Youth Centre, 1633 Richter Street, Kelowna • Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM • Phone: 250-762-3914
