Their limits are higher than Statistics Canada's standard LICO. • There is an appeals process if you are facing hardship. ▸ What can it pay for? • Mobility aids, like scooters, wheelchairs and walkers • Bathing, toileting and transfer aids • Braces and supports, like orthotics and splints • Lifts, hospital beds and air mattresses • Kitchen aids, like adapted utensils • Vehicle changes, like lifts, hand controls or ramps • Computer changes that help you stay independent • MS-related clothing, like cooling vests • Repairs to eligible equipment you already own Other equipment may be considered. Fill out the online Quality of Life application form. 2. Ask your health care professional to fill out the assessment form. 3. MS Canada reviews it and contacts you about the amount. ▸ What you need • The application form, with your income information • The health care professional assessment form (not needed for repairs) ▸ Good to know • Don't buy the item first. MS Canada may not be able to pay you back for something you already bought. • If approved, you must use the money within 3 months.
