Balsam Place is a 60-unit temporary housing program operated by Connective at 3199 Appaloosa Road in Kelowna, in partnership with the City of Kelowna and BC Housing (HEARTH program). It provides housing and vital supports to 60 people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Each resident has a single-room "tiny home" unit with a private entrance — bed, desk, air conditioning, and heating. The site also features shared amenities: gathering and dining areas, washrooms, laundry facilities, and storage spaces. Balsam Place offers 24/7 on-site support services including meal programs, life and employment skills training, and access to health resources. The property has a fully fenced perimeter, gated access, and security cameras. While designed as a temporary site, the program is committed to flexible approaches that help residents transition into stable, long-term housing. ⚠️ This is not a walk-in or drop-in facility. Access is by referral only. How to access: Contact BC Housing at 1-800-257-7756 to apply. For program inquiries, email balsamplaceprogram@connective.ca.
