▸ What it is Balsam Place is temporary housing with supports at 3199 Appaloosa Road in Kelowna. Connective runs it through the HEARTH program, in partnership with the City of Kelowna and BC Housing. It has 60 units for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. ▸ What you get Each resident has their own single-room "tiny home" with a private entrance, a bed, a desk, air conditioning and heating. There are shared gathering and dining areas, washrooms, laundry and storage. Support is available 24/7, including meal programs, life and employment skills training, and access to health resources. The site is fenced, with gated access and security cameras. The site is temporary. Staff help residents move into stable, long-term housing. ▸ How to get in This is not a walk-in or drop-in site.
