Wondering if your experimental, social or recreational substance use (or someone else's) is becoming a problem? Interior Health's youth substance use services can help early. ▸ Who is this for? • Youth aged 12–24 (some programs focus on priority ages). • Caregivers of youth. ▸ What you can get: • Connection to the right youth substance use service at the right time. • Substance use counselling with you and your family. • School-based and youth outreach from substance use counsellors in select high schools and communities. • Information about PreVenture, a school-based prevention program (ask if your school has it), and Foundry BC resources. ▸ How to access: 1. Call 310-MHSU (6478) to reach your local Mental Health & Substance Use centre, or visit the Kelowna centre at 505 Doyle Avenue (250-469-7070). 2. You do not need a referral. Your family doctor or nurse practitioner can also help connect you. 3. Counselling can also be offered virtually. ▸ Hours (Kelowna centre): Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ▸ In crisis: Interior Crisis Line Network, 1-888-353-2273 (24 hours).
