If you need money for basic needs, or you have a disability, this BC government office can help. You can apply for income assistance or disability assistance. The office also handles the Senior's Supplement and the BC Bus Pass. ▸ What you get • Income assistance (sometimes called welfare) • Disability assistance for people with Persons with Disabilities (PWD) approval • Senior's Supplement: monthly payments for low-income seniors • BC Bus Pass: a reduced-cost yearly bus pass for low-income seniors and people on disability assistance ▸ How to apply 1. Apply online at My Self Serve (myselfserve.gov.bc.ca). It is open 24 hours a day. 2. Or call the toll-free line. 3. Or visit the West Kelowna office at 3685 Hoskins Rd. ▸ Good to know • Offices close for lunch from 12 to 1 pm. • Offices are closed on statutory holidays, Easter Monday and Boxing Day. • On My Self Serve you can also send your monthly report and check your next payment.
