If you or someone you love is seriously ill, frail, or near the end of life, trained volunteers from the Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA) can help. ▸ What you can get: • Community Hospice Visiting: emotional, social, spiritual and practical support, companionship, and a break for family caregivers • Vigil: a volunteer can sit with your loved one in their last hours or days, any time of the day or night • Caregiver support, including recorded Caregiver Education Series sessions • Wellness programs: bereavement yoga, Reiki and meditation (registration needed) • Advance Care Planning: help to think, talk and plan, and Interior Health's My Advance Care Plan workbook ▸ How to get it: Anyone can make a referral, including you.
