Community Living BC (CLBC) funds support for adults with developmental disabilities, and for some adults with autism or FASD. ▸ Who can get this? You must be 19 or older and live in B.C. You may qualify if: • You have a developmental disability. This means big challenges with thinking and learning and with everyday skills, starting before age 18. Or: • You have autism or FASD and need a lot of help with daily tasks. You will need assessments and forms from an approved professional, like a psychologist. Some of these may have been done while you were in school. ▸ How to apply: 1. Contact the Kelowna CLBC office. A CLBC facilitator can tell you which documents you need and which professionals can do the assessments. 2. The facilitator reviews your forms and confirms if you qualify. 3. If you qualify, the facilitator meets with you to start the welcome and planning process. ▸ Already working with MCFD? If you are a youth with an MCFD worker, contact your MCFD worker first.
