If you are Indigenous, the federally funded Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) program can help you reach your long-term career goals. ▸ What ISET can cover • Vocational or safety ticket training • Trades training (like construction, plumbing, electrical, welding) • Some funding for degree, master's or doctorate programs • A wage subsidy to an employer, if you are already qualified • Self-employment (at some locations) • Help with costs during training, like childcare, transportation, tuition, books, equipment and living supports ▸ How to get it ISET is run by separate ISET providers across BC, not by the WorkBC Centre. Use the ISET provider map on workbc.ca to find the closest one. Each provider can tell you about their eligibility and services.
