Free routine testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). You do not need to see a doctor or nurse first. ▸ What you can get tested for: HIV, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea. • Interior Health labs: urine test or self-collected throat, vaginal or rectal swabs. • Dynacare and LifeLabs: urine-only testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea. ▸ When to use it: For a regular STI checkup (every 3–6 months is recommended), especially with new or casual partners. ▸ Do NOT use it if you have STI symptoms, need treatment after a recent exposure, need HIV PEP or emergency contraception, or want to talk to a nurse or doctor. Go to an Interior Health Sexual & Reproductive Health Clinic instead. ▸ How to access: 1. Interior Health labs: book online at labonlinebooking.ca (choose “Lab test – Adult”) or call 1-844-870-4756. 2. Dynacare or LifeLabs: book or walk in. 3. At the lab, ask for “On Demand” testing. ▸ What to bring: Your BC Services Card or Personal Health Number. For LifeLabs, bring a printed lab requisition. ▸ Results: A nurse will call you only if a test shows an infection. All results are on Health Gateway. Chlamydia and gonorrhea results are also on MyHealthPortal. HIV and syphilis results: call 1-833-363-9977 two weeks after your lab visit. ▸ Cost: Free.
