MSP is BC's public health insurance. All BC residents must enrol. It pays for medically needed services from doctors and midwives, and diagnostic services such as x-rays. ▸ Who qualifies • Canadian citizens or permanent residents who make their home in BC and are in BC at least 6 months a year • Your spouse, children and dependent post-secondary students who live in BC • Some study and work permit holders with permits of 6 months or more ▸ How to contact Health Insurance BC • Phone to enrol, cancel coverage or apply for supplementary benefits • You can request account changes online • Email is for general questions only.
