If your family can't afford sport fees, KidSport can help. Kids 18 and under in Kelowna can get up to $400 a year (January to December) for registration fees. ▸ Who can get this? • Kids 18 and under who live in Kelowna • Families with low income (KidSport uses Statistics Canada's Low-Income Cut-Offs as a guide) ▸ What you get • Up to $400 per child per calendar year, paid straight to the sport club • Only for registration fees. Not for camps, equipment, travel, championships or dance. ▸ How to apply 1. Register your child in an eligible sport first. 2. Apply online, or send a paper application by email or mail. 3. Wait up to 60 days to hear back. ▸ What you need • Online: your most recent Notice of Assessment (NOA) showing line 15000, for every parent or guardian • Paper: your NOA, proof of foster parent status, or proof of income or disability assistance. Or have an endorser (like a social worker or school principal) sign the form. ▸ Good to know • Apply before or at the start of the season. Grants can't pay for programs that have ended. • Tell KidSport if your child quits the sport.
