Priority goes to people with low incomes. ▸ What it covers If you qualify, a lawyer can take your case for: serious family problems, child protection matters, criminal law issues, immigration and refugee issues, or mental health or prison law issues. ▸ How to apply • Call the Kelowna legal aid location at 250-763-8613. In-person help is available at some locations, so call first. • Or call the Call Centre: 1-866-577-2525 (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 9:00 am – 3:30 pm; Wed 9:00 am – 2:30 pm). • Or apply online. ▸ What to have ready Your financial and court information. You may need proof of income (such as two recent pay stubs, a welfare stub, or a tax return), proof of assets, and any papers about your case. ▸ Language help Services are in English.
