The BC SPCA's Community Spay & Neuter Program helps when cost is a barrier. You get a voucher that covers part of the cost of spay or neuter surgery, plus a BC Pet Registry microchip. ▸ Who can apply? You must: • Have an income in the low-income range set by Statistics Canada • Be at least 19 years old • Have a cat, dog, or rabbit who is healthy enough for surgery (rabbits only at some locations — Kelowna is one) • Live in a community where the program is offered. BC SPCA Kelowna is on the application list. ▸ What to know: • You still pay part of the cost. Staff tell you the amount before the appointment. • Vouchers expire. If you don't use yours in time, you wait until next year to apply again. ▸ How to apply: Fill in the online application on the BC SPCA website. You will be contacted by email unless you ask for a phone call. ▸ Questions: • BC SPCA Kelowna: 3785 Casorso Road, 250-861-7722 • BC SPCA Animal Helpline: 1-855-622-7722 (8 am to 6 pm, 7 days a week; closed statutory holidays)
