A volunteer-driven charity in Kelowna for people living with physical, cognitive and sensory disabilities, and seniors who need adaptive supports to take part in community life. ▸ Programs include: adaptive recreation (like wheelchair basketball, soccer and curling), Powderhounds adaptive snow sports, AbleSail Okanagan adaptive sailing, Kids In Motion, adaptive equipment loans and Myra Canyon bike rentals, and a transportation program (Out and About tours and member access to a wheelchair accessible van). ▸ Cost: annual membership is $10. ▸ Contact: 250-861-3302 or info@pimbc.ca.
