The Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) shows the health risk from air pollution in the Central Okanagan. It matters most in wildfire season, when smoke can build up. Health risk scale: ▸ 1–3 (Low) — Enjoy your usual outdoor activities. ▸ 4–6 (Moderate) — If you are at risk, think about cutting back strenuous outdoor activity if you have symptoms. ▸ 7–10 (High) — If you are at risk, cut back or reschedule strenuous outdoor activity. Children and older people should take it easy. ▸ Above 10 (Very High) — If you are at risk, avoid strenuous outdoor activity. Children and older people should avoid outdoor exertion. ▸ People with heart or breathing problems are at greater risk. ▸ Check AQ Warnings on the same site for daily wildfire smoke updates.
