Discounts on BC Ferries passenger fares for BC seniors and BC residents with a permanent disability. ▸ BC Seniors (65+) • BC residents 65 or older travel free (passenger fare) Monday to Thursday on most routes. Show a BC Services Card, BC Driver's Licence, BC ID Card, BC Gold CareCard, or birth certificate with proof of BC residency. • Not free on North Coast, Central Coast and Haida Gwaii routes (reduced fare there). • Not available on statutory holidays such as New Year's Day, BC Family Day, Victoria Day, Canada Day, BC Day, Labour Day, National Truth and Reconciliation Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. ▸ BC residents with a permanent disability • 50% off passenger fares with a BC Ferries Accessible Fare Identification (AFI) card or a CNIB card. One personal attendant (12+) also gets 50% off, if needed. • To get an AFI card, mail the application with proof such as PWD designation or Canada Pension Plan Disability, or a medical section filled out if you have neither.
