If you are Indigenous and getting care at Kelowna General Hospital, an Indigenous Patient Navigator can be part of your care team. You don't have to self-identify as Indigenous to get support. ▸ What they can do • Give emotional and cultural support • Be part of your care and discharge planning • Help you get spiritual care, or connect with your Elder or spiritual care provider • Contact language translation services ▸ How to get it • Anyone on your care team, like your doctor or nurse, can refer you. You can also ask for a navigator at any time during your care. • Patients visiting from other parts of BC can use this service.
