"There is a Place for You" Student Work Program — Westbank First Nation: Free, online. Who it's for: WFN Members and Indigenous students.
Categories: Employment, Indigenous, Youth
If you are a WFN Member or an Indigenous student, WFN can match you with a job in a WFN department that fits your strengths and interests. ▸ What you get: • Real work experience with a mentor • Certified training (FoodSafe, first aid, and job-specific training where it applies) • Career exploring and cultural connection ▸ How it works: 1. Fill out an online student profile with your interests, strengths and career goals. 2. You are matched to a department. 3. Your resume is shared and you have an informal meeting. 4. You do onboarding and a cultural introduction, then start work. 5. You and your manager review how it went. A celebration marks the end. Students who aren't placed are connected with WFN's Career Development Program through the Okanagan Training & Development Council (OTDC). ▸ Contact: WFN Human Resources, careers@wfn.ca
