Disability Access Services (DAS) helps Okanagan College students who face disability-related barriers to learning. You do not need the right words for your condition to reach out. ▸ Supports may include: technical aids and adaptive equipment, accommodated tests and exams, alternate format text, help with disability-related funding forms, note taking support, instructor liaison, mobility and physical access help, sign language interpreting, and referrals. ▸ How to start: complete the Disability Self-Assessment online. A Disability Access Coordinator will contact you. You do not need documentation to meet with DAS. If you have it, upload it or bring it to your appointment. ▸ When: new students should contact DAS when accepted into a course or program, about three months before it starts. ▸ Contact: DAS hotline 250-862-5404, or 250-762-5445 / 1-877-755-2266 (toll-free), disabilityaccess@okanagan.bc.ca.
